Today was awesome Oct. 10th, 2006 @ 01:34 am
This morning I went upstairs to eat some cereal and I found my letter from BYU that had apparently been there a few days.

I got rejected for entry in next semester.

Then I got a message from a friend that works for the OECD (where I wanted an intership next summer) and it turns out that they don't pay interns these days. So those were all my plans for the next year. Now my options are try really hard to get a grant and goto UVSC to get my GPA up or quit my job and go do somthing else.

The problem is that I really like my job and its a really good job so I don't really want to jepordize that. Well, hopefully I won't be dissapointed but here is the shout out to everyone that reads my blog (that may just be me).

What should I do next year? Please do share your ideas.

Virual Memes on Myspace Oct. 2nd, 2006 @ 02:07 am
I'm so sick of stupid virual memes. The type that I just witnessed has been around since the internet began. People that probably won't make profit but just want to see if thier message gets around. So they e-mail out stupid messages, well you can just read ahead.
The following is a copy of a bulletin I sent out on Myspace.

I just got a bulletin that says that myspace will be changing to a half pay half free service. Supposedly he will give you free power user account status if you repeat a bulletin he sent out.

1. Myspace sucks far too much for me to ever pay for it.
2. How embarrassing for people to think that I paid for something as crappy as this (even if it is free for me).
3. This is a meme virus. As in I'm almost positive that Tom didn't really send this out

So, I implore everyone not to repeat this stupid bulletin if you receive it. If it turns out that I'm wrong and Tom really is going to do a database search on the entire myspace network looking for the exact string of his bulletin so that he can give out free power user accounts when this "new service" rolls out than you shouldn't be that bummed that you didn't repeat it because at least people won't think you paid for something as ridiculous as myspace.

BTW, if it turns out that every time you forward that e-mail that kid dying of cancer really does get 5 cents, I guess thats my bad too. Or what about that guy from south africa, maybe he really can give you 30 million dollars if you send him your life savings so he can get it out of the country or through customers or whatever.

Don't contribute to Meme virus propegation

For those of your that are curious here is the original message that this is in response to:

"Tom sent out a message today, he wants to let everyone know his plans for november.
There will be 2 types of MySpace accounts; Basic Users, and Power Users.

It will be free for people to sign up as Basic Users, but you will onlybe able to add Power Users as friends and have a basic page.

Power Users will be charged 9.95 per month, but they will be able tofully customize thier page and chat with whomever they like. They canadd Basic Users, OR Power Users as friends.

Heres the thing. Tom is going to give out Power User accounts if youcopy and paste this into a new bulletin. His plan is to keep the activeusers around to help sell the Power User accounts. Make sure you havethis Buletin posted before October 31st or you will be defaulted tojust a Basic User and lose all the people on your friends list.

Thanks from Tom and myself

Gamete's Disease Sep. 29th, 2006 @ 02:01 am
I've recently discovered Damien Rice. His songs are awesome but sometimes surprising. All the music is all chill, relaxed and interesting to listen to. Then he just drops the F word all quietly. It's really kinda strange. It's a little strange.

Skateboarding has been a big focus for me latley. I actually haven't improved all that much dispite all those hours at the skatepark. It's not like I'm not trying, I hit the same rail more than just about anyone else there. I guess the other day I did land a few but today I don't think I landed more than one or two tricks. Kinda drives me nuts.

Cancer Sep. 25th, 2006 @ 12:53 am
